Flight Deck ONE can track your flights automatically — no need to press anything.
Turning it on
Automatic flight detection is off by default. To enable it, go to Settings → Premium → Automatic Flight Tracking and turn it on.
When it’s off, you need to start and end every flight manually from the Control Center.
Hangar-only mode
If you have My Hangar enabled, you’ll see an additional option: Only for my Aircraft.
When this is on, automatic detection only activates for aircraft you’ve added to your Hangar. If you load up an aircraft that isn’t in your Hangar, the app won’t auto-detect — you’ll need to start and end the flight manually.
This is useful if you fly a mix of personal and other aircraft and only want automatic tracking for your own fleet.
How it works
Once enabled, the app handles everything:
• Block-off is recorded when your aircraft starts moving from the gate or parking spot.
• Takeoff is recorded when your wheels leave the runway.
• Landing is recorded when your wheels touch down. Bounces and touch-and-go circuits won’t be double-counted.
• Block-on is recorded once you’ve parked, set the parking brake, and shut down.
The flight is then saved to your logbook automatically.
A few things to know
• Flights shorter than 5 minutes are not saved — this filters out accidental detections.
• If the app incorrectly starts a flight, you can cancel it from the Control Center. You can also tell it not to try again for the rest of that session.
• You can always start or end a flight manually even when auto-detection is on.
